Scotland - Edinburgh

Edinburgh

Detail of Scottish Parliament - very modern building by architect Enric Miralles inspired by the flowers by Charles Rennie Mackintosh

Funny enough this marks the place where taxes used to be collected and people hanged long ago. People spit on the centre of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Earth Centre - it takes one through the journey of Earth's formation. I didn't actually had time to see it but the buiding is impressive. An excuse to go back...

Edinburgh Castle is built on top of a vulcanic rock that is 70 million years old!!!!!!!!!!

Loved it! Has a real European feel to it, totally recommend a visit. Can't believe I live in London for over 10 years and it has taken me this long to go there... well, as they say, better late than ever!
