THE BRAIN UNRAVELLED

This is my project for the next year, last Friday the website went live, we hit a major milestone. Many more yet to come, keep an eye on the website.

The human brain is the most complex object in the known universe. It contains about 100 billion nerve cells, and 100 trillion connections among them. Every day thousands of scientists around the world are trying to understand more about how the brain works.

'The Brain Unravelled' is an exhibition in which three disciplines, neuroscience, anthropology and art come together in order to explore what we know about the brain. Drawing on a broad range of research, its aim will be to consider the relationship between creativity and consciousness, and how the brain, to use Chris Frith’s phrase, makes up the mind.

One strand of the exhibition will include works created by established artists and scientists working together. It will also include a research piece of experimental Anthropology.
