Ghost Bikes

As I was walking along I found this white bike chained to a lamp post. I was told these are in places where a cyclist died..sad but a nice tribute. Ever since I saw this one I started noticing them in various other locations. Not really an incentive to cycle on the roads of London are they?..I prefer the pavement myself, the buses are just too big and scary!
