Love Thursdays!

Thursday is the day I go out to Private Views. There are so many galleries in London that there's an opening almost every day. I usually go w my mates from FAD, but we missed each other last night...although I bumped into an artist I befriended right at the beggining of my career as an artist and I hadn't seen her for years!! I can't even remember her name, again!

This is Laura Owens work. I picked this one because I'm a goat myself (Capricorn). I liked her work. It's quite refreshing, almost naive. I like the simplicity & the use of colour. At Sadie Coles HQ.

This is at Alison Jacques Gallery. It's a live in space. Fab!!

Uta Barth. I love flowers & nature in general so of course I liked this. Even though I

didn't find it particularly challenging. Very Spring though.

Didn't make a note of the name of the gallery or the artists. But it was

a really good show actually!!!

This is at Spruth Magers Lee - John Baldessari. Love the work. Reminds me of the currant paint add for Delux!! I wonder...who inspired who?!!

It's Gorgeous David again!

Bath for the weekend

Went to Bath for the weekend to visit Sophie, Charlie's sister who's doing Pottery at university.
It's a really nice town, really English and very stately indeed! The architecture is quite grand. We went to visit the Roman Baths, the biggest in Europe. This photo is the remains of the sauna. The floor sat on top of these piles of bricks. Slaves constantly feed a wood fire in the same room making the hot hair circulate around the bricks heating the floor & walls above. Clever hey? We certainly have moved on...!

Moi!

The orange marks where the water was before.

The King's Fountain in the Pump Room.

Very nice place to have Tea & Cakes...

very exquisite surroundings.

The Trees have an amasing presence in Bath. Love them!

& the pub of course!

Seeking stimulation

Went to see 'Nightmares on Wax' on Thursday night, they make excellent music but not so great live...it was the 1st time I went to the Electric Ballroom, nice venue.

Had my first driving lesson w an instructor on Saturday. It seems I'll finally have my driving license at some point this Summer...yuppiiiiieeeeeeeeeee!

I found Post Secrets in a newspaper & thought is quite an original art project.

Went to a really good party last night at Cordica Arts Club (left), quite experimental & fresh. Got some excellent footage.
